Moscow International Film Festival Announces Program

There are films from Russia, Romania, Serbia, China, Peru

The 2022 Moscow International Film Festival will be held in Moscow from August 26 to September 2. The competition program of the 44th festival includes 9 films:

  • Camel Way (directed by Vitaly Suslin, Russia)
  • The Voice of Crying in the Wilderness (directed by Kyprian Mega, Romania)
  • Youth (directed by Dmitry Davydov, Russia)
  • Mariya. The Ocean Angel (directed by Aruna Jayawardana, Sri Lanka)
  • A Hope (directed by Umit Kereken, Turkey, Germany, Slovenia)
  • Vegetable Garden (directed by Larisa Sadilova, Russia)
  • The Journey of Mastorna (directed by Chan Ming Zhi Liao, China)
  • The Hives (directed by Luis Basurto, Peru)
  • The Beheading of St. John the Baptist (directed by Sinisa Cvetich, Serbia)

The opening film of the festival will be the blockbuster Land of Legends starring Aleksandr Kuznetsov. The MIFF will be closed out by the South Korean thriller Decision to Leave by Park Chan-wook, a winner of the Cannes Film Festival.
