Founded in 2010, the Innovation Center brings together experts in the field of IT, modern technologies, and entrepreneurship. The area was developed from scratch and is located not far from the Moscow Ring Road. You can easily reach it via the Skolkovo interchange hub on trains departing from Belorussky railway terminal or via Line D4 of Moscow Central Diameters. Like the other buildings at the Innovation Center, the station is an example of high-tech architecture.
Each architectural object at Skolkovo is unique. The campus of the Skolkovo Moscow School of Management was created by the famous British architect David Adjaye, who drew inspiration from Kazimir Malevich's Suprematism when planning the building's complex shape. The Skolkovo Institute of Science and Technology was designed by Jacques Herzog and Pierre de Meuron from Switzerland, winners of the prestigious Pritzker Prize, which is considered the ''Oscars of architecture''. A plot not far from the institute will house Sber's technology park. It was designed by one of the most popular architectural firms in the world, Zaha Hadid Architects, and has been under construction since 2016.
The list of celebrities who have left their mark on the Skolkovo landscape goes on and on, so it is better to come here and ride past the futuristic buildings on a rented electric scooter to see them for yourself. Skolkovo has a 5-kilometer cycling and walking path, which runs through the family and children's parks with playgrounds and a pond.
You can stop for lunch at the Matryoshka restaurant on the 9th floor of the Matrex Conference Center. The restaurant offers a beautiful view of the entire grounds of the Innovation Center.
