Blau is a tiny cafe space nestled in a courtyard on Sadovnicheskaya Embankment a stone throw away from the Zaryadye Park. Inspired by Turkish cuisine and culture, the owners came up with a striking interior dominated by blues and oranges. The name itself translates as "blue."
The cuisine is predominantly Turkish, something you can find on Istanbul streets: balik ekmek, which is a sandwich made of a cylindrical bread roll with mackerel filling, a baklava pastry dessert, menemen scrambled eggs, and a chicken kufta. All the items on the menu are marked with an asterisk. The descriptions can be found at the bottom of the menu.
Blau offers breakfast options throughout the day. You can order a large Turkish breakfast for two, which includes an omelet or an egg scramble with veggie appetizer dips.
