Lyudi-Kak-Lyudi (People as They Are)

This is an affordable and very old cafe in Kitay-gorod. The tiny space has room for a bar, several tables, and a display case with desserts. The cafe’s name reflects the concept of the establishment: simple food which is familiar to everyone. It offers its signature pies, sandwiches, a soup of the day, and a selection of hot dishes.

The cafe has not changed for many years. It is practically the same as it was at launch: brown and turquois walls, ornamental tile on the floor, and a variety of guests: students, painters, office workers, intellectuals, and neighborhood residents — a bowl of the famous kharcho soup is a great equalizer.
