A short walk away from the New Space of the Theater of Nations on Strastnoy Boulevard, you will find a café founded by two women: friends and avid cyclists. Their plan was to create a space that would be as comfortable as possible for cyclists, which is why there is a convenient bicycle parking lot right next to the café. Guests can also ask for a pump for their bicycle wheels, and there are plans to sell various useful accessories for cyclists.
The menu design is the result of a collaboration with the team of another prominent modern eatery, Eggsellent. While the food is mostly something you'd eat for breakfast, it's actually served all day, from 8 a.m. to closing time. The display window beckons with freshly baked goods: croissants, cookies, and cupcakes. The selection of coffees, teas, and soft drinks is also excellent. You will need to order and pay for items at the counter, but they will be brought to you and taken away by the café staff.
Finding a vacant seat at Salyut can be rather challenging, as all tables are occupied from morning till night. During the summer, visitors lounge about in the courtyard, perching on the sidewalk edge and other impromptu "seats". The café is cyclist- and pet-friendly.
