This is a restaurant offering authentic Southern Italian cuisine in the Four Seasons Hotel near Red Square. La Bottega Siciliana prepares original versions of regional dishes: thick-crust pizza, homemade pasta, gelato, and other specialties. The interiors are designed in a simple Sicilian style: massive wooden tables with checkered tablecloths, black-and-white photos on the walls, and plenty of green plants.
Of the Southern Italian staples, the restaurant serves pappardelle of wild boar with porcini mushrooms, Sicilian-style caponata (vegetable stew), and spicy chicken alla diavola. There are also more than a dozen varieties of pizza, from the traditional margherita to the Siciliana with seafood, several types of pasta, and many vegetable and cheese snacks. Classic Italian desserts and ice cream with fresh fruit complement the menu.
The restaurant is open until the last guest leaves (the kitchen closes at midnight), but you should reserve a table a few days before your visit.
