A restaurant of modern Georgian cuisine interpreted by chef David Chelidze on Pokrovsky Boulevard. The interior of Hedonist is perfect for a leisurely dinner: pastel gray walls, chairs and sofas of unusual shape, and subdued lighting. The abundance of mirrors and lights fills the venue with a special charm.
What distinguishes this restaurant from others is that the chef adds uncommon ingredients to classic traditional dishes: for example, the khinkali is cooked with shrimp or rabbit here, and crab meat is added to the Megrelian khachapuri. Many items are cooked in their chef’s interpretations: the chef has worked in European establishments, including Michelin-starred restaurants. You should taste the satsivi from octopus, the chikhirtma soup with stracciatella, and the chkmeruli with morels, pumpkin, and broccoli. Some of the hot dishes, for example, the traditional shashlik and lula kebab, as well as the fish and meat steaks, are char-grilled. The wine list naturally favors Georgian wines, but it also includes a wide choice of Mediterranean and Central European wines.
