The history of Teatrium on Serpukhovka started with Russia's first International Clown Festival organized by Tereza Durova. Over 300 performers from Russia, Bulgaria, Japan, and the USA came to Moscow, and the decision to create a repertory clowning theater was made after the festival. The theater's repertoire currently includes over 30 plays.
One of the theater's most prominent projects is the Gavroche International Children's Theater Festival. The festival has a unique structure: every year it focuses on a children's theater from a certain country, accompanying the performances with an extensive educational program with master classes and workshops.
