The history of the Moscow Olympic Water Sports Center (MOWSC) began in the 1930s. In the late 1950s, it was the largest swimming venue in the Soviet Union. The site was given the unofficial name House of Swimming, and water sports competitions, USSR and Moscow championships, and international sports events were held here.
The swimming season here lasts all year. The 50-meter swimming pool No. 8 has eight lanes and is open both in winter and summer. The water temperature is +27°C in summer and +28°C in winter.
Because of the depth (which is equal to two meters), only visitors over the age of sixteen can swim here. There are 8 lanes, as well as renovated locker rooms and showers. Swim sessions start at 7:15 and end at 20:45. You need a photo, passport, and medical certificate to apply for either a season swim pass or a single swim pass.
